Digital ink on paper is a work in progress and part of a conceptual piece. The lineart is completely digital, working with a photographic refference of pop star Christina Aquilera and my wacom tablet. Matte painting techniques were used to add parts of the womens figure that were cropped from the refference here's a [link]
Another excellent piece. May I ask if you could take a look at my own lineart work in my gallery. It's entitled "Smexy-kun". I'd appreciate some feedback on it. Great job. Keep up the good work.
Nice clean lines. If I were to offer a critique, I'd say to try to keep your line weight more consistent. You're going from like 1-2 pixels to 5-6 randomly throughout the drawing. Also, I'd go easy on the detail lines. A lot of them aren't necessary, specifically the ones around the knees, on the insides of the elbows and the lines between the teeth. The ones on the teeth kind of make it look like she's got gaps there. You can imply those kinds of subtle lines by drawing the beginning and end of the line but leaving the space in between blank. The viewer's eye will fill in the rest, and you'll get a much cleaner, gentler look. All in all though, you've got nice form and your lineart is coming along nicely. Good work.
hmm that's a tough one. I like the folds in the pillow and the hair in number 2, but I like the layout of 1 a lot more...it's softer. And technically speaking, I think it's just a better piece. It seems to have more feeling, seems more natural than the second. She doesn't look like she's posing in the first.
I have to say this is better than part 1. Especially the hair seems much more better. Flatness of line drawing style really does not make justice to anatomy. But the feeling and female mood is perhaps what is the purpose of the picture after all.
The butter legion- a socialist movement/mass colab project I started, to trigger artistic change and evolution in Da artists (mainly my watchers), to make them more active and dedicated on DA. Now 170 people strong and growing... A "dangerous cult"? a "new religion"? "artistic version of fight club" or "communist movement"? You decide!
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example. From participating in devmeets, to providing positive encouragement to other artists, `Rushy can always be found demonstrating what it really takes to be a true deviant. It's without any hesitation that we are delighted to award the Deviousness Award for July 2009 to `RushyRead More
